Strange that most people who have been to Iraq lately think that the US and other allies are culling the conflict. I wonder if that is because it may very well be true. Also strange that Obama who once said the surge did not work is now saying that the surge HAS worked, but in ways that couldn't have been predicted. I'm sorry, but I'm sick of the broad ignorance that a good percentage of not only the US, but the entire world, has been showing. In regards to the political race, I can't help but wonder how people are hoping for a blatant socialist to be president of the United States. Not only that, the fact that regardless that he is a part of the corrupt politicial system in Chicago (the city in which I reside) as well as the fact that he has yet to even explain how he wishes to "change" the country. On top of that, the fact that in the face of losing voters because of the media frenzy that is Sarah Palin, he resorts to down-right shit talking not the entire GOP…but specifically Sarah Palin. What sort of man that holds any honor, what sort of man with any sort of leadership would resort to personal insults. Along with that, the most ignorant comment I've heard so far from the democratic party; Jesus was a community organizer, Pontius Pilate was a Governor. I don't care what religion anyone is, whether they be athiest or otherwise; how can anyone back the blatant ignorance and hatred the Democratic party has shown in the past few weeks?

@Connekt, Your comment is pretty easy to reply to. Broad ignorance isn't the same as disagreeing with YOUR opinions. Obama did not shit talk specifically Sarah Palin at all. McCain saw a phrase that he could take out of context — that he himself has used in his own campaign — and jumped on it, using smear to try to taint Obama's image. You should check that out. The Christian comment was admittedly pretty dumb, but I'd still take a religious comparison over a party that has *proven* what it likes to do with eight years of office. And I should note that as I have no stake in this election whatsoever, I am not biased either way. Meanwhile, I notice that you didn't answer either of my questions. Interesting.
