OK, so Obama has finally personally voiced his concern over the release of the Lockerbie bomber to UK PM Gordon Brown. Allegedly.
It's about time. And I am sitting here hoping that this will be a clear sign to the British government that this silly "special relationship" doesn't imbue our country with the right to do whatever stupid frakking things we like.
America's invading Iraq? Sure, go for it.
America fancies bailing out some private companies? OK, that's silly, but let's do it because the US knows best.
Let's free the Lockerbie bomber? No, that's frakking ridiculous and this country that we've been blindly following around the globe for a decade finally has the sense to call us on it.
Will our government realise that things need to change? Will they frak.
